Overview
Septentrio’s AiRx OEM receiver is a Beta-3 GNSS/SBAS board. It has been conceived for use in precise aviation situations. Examples are RNP/RNAV, LPV approach and ADS-B. The company configures the receiver around the singular aviation ASIC AReCo multi system. In this way, it is possible to have the product certified according to the most recent FAA MOPS/RTCA and TSO standards.
The receiver unit comes in a small package and consumes little power. Thus, it is optimal for use where there are constraints for power consumption, weight and size. Two recommended applications are in UAV use and helicopter cockpits.
For use in ground reference GBAS stations, AiRx issues data regarding code and carrier. While the user is in the field, its hardware can be upgraded to include L5 or Galileo signals.
