Overview
The Septentrio AiRx2 OEM is a GNSS and SBAS Beta 3 receiver board designed especially for accurate aviation uses including ADS-B, LPV and RNP-RNAV. Thus, hardware and software meet requirements for en-route, approach and terminal operation.
The Septentrio AiRx2 OEM is certified for RTCA/FAA OPS and TSOs, because it is designed on the custom-built aviation multisystem ASIC AReCo. Being compact and low power, the receiver is suitable for uses where space, weight and power constraints are critical. These include helicopter cockpits and UAV applications. It supplies carrier and code data for ground reference station uses (GBAS).
In addition, the Septentrio AiRx2 OEM can be upgraded in the field to incorporate dual-frequency L5 or dual constellation Galileo/GPS signals. This means it enables a secure growth path to future avionics where it is important to provide early availability for test beds and in-flight demonstrations.
