TERRASTAR-M is an upgraded service for GNSS users anywhere in the world where reliable position accuracy is needed. It is based on C/A code and L1 carrier type observations for delivering meter-level location precision. Accuracy is determined by making pseudo-range error corrections using difference technology for GLONASS as well as GPS satellites. Low- and high-power satellites broadcast correction data is broadcast smoothly worldwide.
GNSS correction data is provided by a network of control centers and reference stations. Their antennas are set for accuracy at the centimeter level. Stations are positioned in a network that ensures optimum coverage.
Two redundant network Control Centers (NCCs) in Scotland and Singapore produce augmentation data. One is manned around the clock to provide a Helpdesk that monitors service performance and availability so that it can support customers whenever required.
