Overview
GPS Source’s GPSRKL12 L1/L2 repeater kit contains an amplifier assembly, an active outdoor antenna, a cable assembly and an optional coax lightening protection. The GPS frequency repeater is frugal with power and is typically operated in places not subject to GPS signal.
The system works by obtaining GPS satellite signals provided by an antenna mounted outside the building/hangar/structure and making use of the signal indoors or under a canopy. Thus, the GPSRKL12 is not used for indoor navigation.
The reiterated GPS signal serves to initialize and test the system; it also is used for product demonstration purposes. The GPS location of any equipment performing on the basis of the transmitted signal would echo the active outdoor antenna’s bearing rather than that of the actual GPS receiving device.
Customer requirements can be taken into consideration, because the GPSRKL12 has more options than comparable products. Additional cable lengths, antenna DC, connector types, and other power options are available from the company.
