Overview
GPS Source’s GPSRKL125 repeater kit contains an amplifier assembly, an active outdoor antenna, a cable assembly and an optional coax lightening protection. The repeater draws little power and usually finds application in areas void of GPS signal.
The system obtains GPS satellite signals from the outside antenna (mounted on a structure/hangar/building) and uses them indoors or a covered space. This means the GPSRKL125 is not used for indoor navigation.
Repeated GPS signals serve to test and initialize the system; they also are used for product demonstration projects. The GPS location of any equipment performing on the basis of the transmitted signal would echo the active outdoor antenna’s bearing rather than that of the actual GPS receiving device.
The GPSRKL125 can be custom tailored to a customer’s specific needs, because it has more options than comparable products on the market. Additional cable lengths, antenna DC, connector types, and other power options are available from the company.
