Overview
GPS Source’s L1LNA low-noise amplifier is an in-line RF unit that provides one-output, one-input. It shields against intermodulation products caused by signals out-of-band by enabling pre-selection filtering to go in advance of the early amplification stages.
Compared to other similar products on the market, there are more options for source voltage, output voltage, connectors, and ports. The unit is best used for filtering and amplification where a passive GPS antenna produces a GPS signal. Another common application is for high-gain operation in an environment having dense RF signals.
Three power supply alternatives are possible: voltage output from the receiver’s GPS antenna, DC input, or AC input voltage. No matter what the source of input power is, L1LNA furnishes to an active GPS antenna the required DC voltage power output. When used with a power option, any or all RF input/output ports can be DC blocked or can pass the powered DC voltage.
